Canada's Record-Low Unemployment Rates Bolster Economy and Immigration

Canada makes economic and immigration milestones as its unemployment rate reaches a historic low, declining from 5.3 percent in March to 5.2 percent in April.

Notably, the unemployment rate for those between 25 and 54 years of age stands at 4.3 percent, the lowest since 1976. This trend is also extended to immigrants who currently witness a tighter job market as well.

The economic growth has called for governmental efforts to streamline the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, strengthening Canada's commitment to immigration, with plans to welcome more than 430,000 immigrants annually.

The cornerstone of this endeavor is the Express Entry program, set to resume invitations to all candidates, further solidifying its role as Canada's primary economic class immigration pathway.
